I know I'm resurrecting a dead thread here, but the problem still seems to be ongoing, so I thought I'd put it out there that adding quicksilver to every space in system preferences did the trick for me as well, even in primer. It seems the simplest and most intuitive solution, for those it works for.

Davids modifications to the plist did the trick for me. Even when using the Primer interface. Thanks a lot!

Here's the kludgy fix:

1. Switch on "Show Icon in Dock"
2. Relaunch QS
3. Go to the Spaces preference pane
4. If you already have an entry for QS, delete the entry
5. Create a Spaces entry for QS
6. Make that entry "All Spaces"
7. Quit QS
8. Launch QS
9. Turn off "Show Icon in Dock"
X. Restart QS

From this point on, until some other Quicksilver wackiness happens, you should be able to view QS in any space without having the dock icon visible.

Ugh. It ate the formatting. If you're familiar with the plist format, you should still be able to figure it out.

If you've got this behaving, and want to get rid of the dock icon, you can do so with a quick plist edit:

/Applications/Quicksilver.app/Contents/Info.plist

Starts looking like:

        CFBundleDevelopmentRegion
        English

add the elements:
        NSUIElement
        1

so that it now looks like:

        NSUIElement
        1
        CFBundleDevelopmentRegion
        English

Here's hoping my formatting gets preserved.

Using Window interface, Spaces=Every, B57 and 10.6.4, it still won't work w/o "Show in Dock" enabled. Tried the Show > Don't Show as suggested above, and that didn' work.

Show in dock is not a deal-breaker, but it's not wonderful. It'd be nice if this were fixed. However, given how cruddy Word and Spaces can be together, I'm not sure this isn't a fault of Apple's implementation of Spaces.

The Showcase interface does the same thing. Adding in every space in the preferences didn't work for that but having QS show up in the dock does. Thanks for the tip!

I have been trying all tricks all over the internet since september 2009, and none was working as I wanted to. Crash there, crash here, slow there, hang there, etc. But today I am back with QuickSilver in my Snow Leopard. This guy is amazing, he did a trick to make the QS work very fast and stable in my Snow Leopard. Check that out: http://bit.ly/2l6Ae

The problem occurs in the Primer command interface. I found that out when I asked my teacher if he had the problem, and he said no. He was using the bezel interface, and when I tried that, everything worked perfectly.

You can change the command interface in Preferences --> Appearance --> Command Interface.
